Giorgi Manoshvili

Giorgi Manoshvili, a Georgian bass, graduated from the Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory in Tbilisi, where he specialized in Traditional and Ecclesiastical Music.

After some performances in prestigious international venues, Manoshvili made his Italian debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro performing the role of Lord Sidney in Il viaggio a Reims. He was subsequently invited back to appear in the tribute to Pier Luigi Pizzi Tra Rondo e Tournedos, Rossinimania, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle under the baton of Michele Mariotti.
He then sang Colline in La bohème in a television production directed by Mario Martone for Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, returned to the ROF in Pesaro, portrayed Caliban in Halévy’s The Tempest at Wexford Festival Opera. Early he performed Verdi’s Messa da Requiem in Rome with Michele Mariotti.

In this season: the debut at Teatro alla Scala in Carmen, the debut at Metropolitan Opera House and at Royal Ballet and Opera in La bohème, Bruckner’s Grosse Messe at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at Opernhaus Zurich, Medea at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Evgenij Onegin at Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, I masnadieri at Opéra de Marseille.
