A native of China, Chuan studied voice at the Conservatory of Guangzhou where he earned his 1st-level diploma in 2012. He continued his studies in Italy at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan graduating with top marks in 2016. He enriched his experience with various performances like Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Tonio in Ponchielli’s I Promessi Sposi , Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Orff’s Carmina Burana and masterclasses and he qualified in important international singing competitions.
in 2017 he was admitted at the Academy of Lyric Opera of La Scala where he had the chance to de bute in several Academy Projects: as Almaviva in the children’s version of Il barbiere di Siviglia. as Calaf in Cherubini’s Alì Babà conducted by Paolo Carignani with stage direction by Liliana Cavani, as Nemorino in the children’s version of L’elisir d’amore,as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi directed by Woody Allen and conducted by Ádám Fischer. Among them, he took also part at the Khovanshchina, new production of Mario Martone conducted by Valery Gergiev.
Among his recent an future projects Duke in Rigoletto conducted by Daniel Oren in the historical staging by Gilbert Deflo, Ramiro in the children’s version of La cenerentola and the tenor part in the world premiere of Madina all at la Scala, Pang in Turandot and Duca in Rigoletto at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Carmina Burana in Bruxelles, Gernando and Ubaldo in Rossini’s Armida in Marseille etc
