Piero Pretti

Piero Pretti had his first professional engagements as Rodolfo in La Bohème. In subsequent seasons, he appeared in La Traviata at the Pergolesi Opera House in Jesi and at the Treviso Opera House, Poliuto by Donizetti in Sassari and Il Trovatore in Ravenna. In the same period he sang in Ifigenia in Aulide in Rome conducted by Riccardo Muti.  During the 2011 season, he made his debut in I Vespri siciliani at the Teatro Regio in Turin conducted by Gianandrea Noseda and at the San Carlo Opera House in Naples; he returned to the Teatro Regio in Turin in Lucia di Lammermoor and appeared in a concert of arias by Verdi conducted by Riccardo Muti at the Ravenna Festival.

Mr. Pretti's others engagements included Rigoletto and La Traviata at the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Verdi’s Requiem at Kazan, Luisa Miller and Rigoletto at La Scala and at the Teatro Regio in Parma, Verdi’s I due Foscari at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and Madama Butterfly in Auckland with the New Zealand Opera.

Among his engagements Un ballo in maschera at Teatro Alla Scala, Il Trovatore and La Traviata  at La Fenice, Il Trovatore for NTR Zaterdag Matinee in Amsterdam, Rigoletto at the Teatro Regio in Turin and Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Verdi Requiem in Tokyo.

Season 2014 began with Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Alla Scala, Rigoletto and La Traviata at Wiener Staatsoper, Rigoletto at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munchen, at Royal Opera House in London and at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Nabucco at Les Choregies d’Orange, Rossini’s Stabat Mater at Theatre des Champs Elysées in Paris and again Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona for Arena Foundation.

Among his engagements Verdi’s Attila in La Coruna, Madama Butterfly in Bilbao, Lucia di Lammermoor at Hamburgische Staatsoper, Muscat, Turin, La Traviata at Teatro La Fenice in Venice and at Teatro Regio in Torino, Nabucco at Arena in Verona, Madama Butterfly at Opéra de Paris and Wiener Staatsoper, Rigoletto at Teatro Real in Madrid and at Teatro alla Scala in Milan,  La Bohème at Wiener Staatsoper, La donna serpente in Turin, Il Trovatore in Macerata, Lucia di Lammermoor in Paris, Rigoletto in Rome and Naples, Anna Bolena at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, La Traviata in Venice, Macbeth in Turin and Edinburgh, Il Trovatore in Frankfurt, Un ballo in maschera in Wien, La Bohème in Madrid, Un ballo in maschera in Paris, Madama Butterfly in Berlin and Zurich, Lucia di Lammermoor in Trieste; Il Pirata in Milano, Il Trovatore in Florence, Rigoletto and Nabucco in Munich, Il Trovatore in Seville, Madama Butterfly at Metropolitan in New York; Don Carlo in Venice, La Bohème in Bari; among future engagements Cavalleria rusticana with Chicago Symphony conducted by Riccardo Muti, La Traviata in New York,  Lucia di Lammermoor in Munich, Luisa Miller in Rome, Tosca in Macerata, Aida and Il Trovatore in Venice.
