Alessandro Scotto di Luzio started his musical studies at a very young age, by taking private Voice lessons and studying Trombone at Conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples.

In 2006, at 19, he was awarded the first prize at the 12th edition of the Città di Bacoli National competition, near Naples, and became an extra chorus member of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he sang until 2008. Right afterwards he obtained the intermediate certificate in Vocal Studies at the “D. Cimarosa” Music Conservatory in Avellino and he was admitted to the Scuola dell’Opera Italiana associated with the Teatro ,Comunale in Bologna. ,Currently he is taking lessons and mastering with Tenor Nunzio Todisco.

Between 2008 and 2009 he won the 14th edition of the Ritorna Vincitor International Singing Competition in Ercolano, the tenor section at the RAI-1 TV singing competition and the Tour de Chant Competition, and he was finalist at the 60th edition of the As.Li.Co. European Competition,

Highlights of his 2009 engagements include his participation in the Concerto per la Riconciliazione at the Roman arena in Bet She'An ,(Israel) in occasion of the visit of Pope Benedict XVI, ,his participation at the opening concerts of the 2009 Spiros Argiris Competition with the Orchestra di Torre del Lago conducted by Matteo Beltrami, his role debuts as Rodolfo in La Bohème under the baton of Alberto Veronesi in Ercolano and as Tonio in La Figlia del Reggimento conducted by Alessandro D’Agostini at the Teatro Sociale in Como.

From 2010 on his career has been growing and increasing by singing new titles and roles. He made his debut as Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore ,in Bologna under the baton of Daniele Rustioni, he debuted as Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto in Trapani, Ernesto in Don Pasquale in Padua conducted by Giampaolo Bisanti and he obtained a personal success with Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor with As.li.Co in Como, Cremona, Fermo, Ravenna.

Recently he sang Un giorno di regno and L’elisir d’amore in Verona, Florence and Berlin, Rigoletto in Bari and Verona, Don Pasquale in Glyndebourne, Tel Aviv, Venice and Trieste, La Traviata in Melbourne and Sassari, Il paese del sorriso in Trieste, Il campiello in Florence and Trieste, Falstaff in Piacenza, Savona and Ferrara, Lucia di Lammermoor in Verona, Modena and Parma, L’Isola Disabitata in Naples, Così fan tutte in Florence, L’Amico Fritz and Cilea’s Gina in Venice, Macbeth in Ravenna and Savonlinna, Lucia di Lammermoor in Naples, Die Zauberflöte in Turin. Among his recent engagements: La Traviata in Florence, Naples, Venice and Rome, Gianni Schicchi in Amsterdam and Tokyo, Manon Lescaut (Edmondo) at La Scala, Macbeth in Cagliari, Donizetti Requiem in Catania, La Bohème in Miami, Naples, Florence, Bologna and Ravenna, Rigoletto in Parma, Cagliari and Klagenfurt and La Rondine in Zagreb.
