M° Manuela Ranno was born in Trapani, Italy, and she attended The Conductor’s Master Academy of Theatre Coccia in Novara and the Fundraising School. She holds also a degree in Conducting at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Palermo with M° C. Caruso, a Graduation in Lyric Singing and in Baroque Singing.

Since January 2021 up to now she is Music Director of Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese and in 2019 she has also been appointed Music Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra Francesco Cilea and the Youth Orchestra F. Cilea in Reggio Calabria.

Since 2018, when she founded The Youth Orchestra F. Cilea, Manuela Ranno has followed a new idea for making a music, which combines dedication to the art with a dedication to social causes: with special projects, she made a course of orchestral learning and singing to young people that performed in several Symphonic/Rock Concert and Opera like Noye’s Fludde by B. Britten.

She recently conducted Madama Butterfly, Cendrillon by P. Viardot, Stabat Mater / Pergolesi, Suite n. 3 Antiche Danze by O. Respighi, with I Virtuosi Italiani. In season 2019/2020 M° Ranno got a great success with La prova di un'opera seria by F. Gnecco and Serenade Gran Partita by W.A. Mozart at Luglio Musicale Trapanese. At the Cilea Theater, she conducted Il Barbiere di Siviglia, LaTraviata, Turandot and several operatic and symphonic concerts. She also worked as an Assistant conductor in various italian Houses conducting La Traviata, Ilviaggio a Reims, Turandot, Le nozze di Figaro, Tosca, Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, Turandot, Falstaff, Cendrillon, Madama Butterfly, L'heure Espagnole, La Voix humaine and Lucia di Lammermoor, as well as The Witches of Venice by P. Glass.

At the beginning of her music career, Manuela Ranno also sang as Soprano since she was 16, making her debuts in several major Opera Houses. ,

Next engagements include Cendrillon in Trieste, Tosca and Symphonyc concerts at Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, as well as debuts at Volskoper in Wien.
