It was in 1982 that Patrice Caurier and Moshe Leiser met and decided to work as a team.
Since then, they have staged more than 140 opera productions in the world's greatest opera houses, earning them international recognition and fame.
Their work has been seen in particular at the Grand Théâtre in Geneva, Covent Garden, the Théâtre Mariinsky in St. Petersburg, the Met in New York, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, the Staatsoper in Vienna and the Theater an der Wien, and La Scala in Milan.
They created the world premiere of Marc-André Dalbavie's Gesualdo at the Zurich Opernhaus.
They collaborated with Cecilia Bartoli on ten opera productions in Zurich and at the Salzburg Festival, including Bellini's Norma, which won best opera production at the International Opera Awards.
Their 'Italiana in Algeri' from the Salzburg Festival is now in the repertoire of the Zurich Opera, as is Madama Butterfly and the Barber of Seville at London's Covent Garden.
On the other hand, Moshe Leiser took over the musical direction of L'Incoronazione di Poppea at the Opéra de Nantes Angers.

Recently, they staged Pique Dame with Kyrill Petrenko conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker at the Baden Baden Festspiele. Their production of Mefistofele staged at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice was a huge success. Their production of L'Equivoco Stravagante for the Rossini Festival in Pesaro will be staged this summer.
Their Pelléas and Mélisande was performed in February at the Théâtre de l'Athénée in Paris.
