The Italian baritone Massimo Cavalletti quickly conquered the most  ,prestigious international opera houses and festivals, including the  ,Metropolitan Opera in New York, Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House  ,Covent Garden, La Bastille Opera in Paris, Staatsoper in Vienna, Berlin  ,Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zurich, the Salzburg Festival, the Bolshoi Theater in  ,Moscow, and the Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo.

With his debut in October 2004 at the Donizetti Theater in Bergamo in  ,La Parisina (set up by the Academy of Perfection of the Teatro alla Scala in  ,Milan), a collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala began which has seen him  ,up to now engaged in many productions in the roles of Figaro (The barber of  ,Seville), Rodrigo di Posa (Don Carlo) Schaunard and Marcello (La bohème),  ,Enrico Asthon (Lucia di Lammermoor), Paolo Albiani (Simon Boccanegra), Ford  ,(Falstaff), and Escamillo (Carmen), Francesco ( Masnadieri), Conte di Luna  ,(Trovatore) Belcore (Elisir D'Amore) and Lescaut (Manon Lescaut).

In 2007 he began a long collaboration with the Zurich Opernhaus, where  ,he performed in works such as La bohème, La Juive, Le Cid, Lucia di Lammermoor, Carmen, Simon Boccanegra, The Barber of Seville, Falstaff,  ,L'elisir d'amore, Poliuto, Convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali and Don  ,Carlo.

He also played Marcello at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden,  ,Schaunard, Marcello, Escamillo (Carmen) Enrico Asthon and Lescaut in the new  ,production of Manon Lescaut, which is shown in cinemas all over the world at  ,the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Escamillo at the Vienna State Opera and  ,at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Marcello and Ford (Falstaff) at  ,the Salzburg Festival, Renato (A Masked Ball) with the Israel Philharmonic  ,Orchestra, Ford and Marcello at the Amsterdam Opera, Enrico Asthon in Tokyo,  ,Dresden and Hamburg, Ford in Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Belcore (L'elisir d'amore)  ,at the Glyndebourne Festival, in Beijing and at the Teatro de la Maestranza  ,in Seville, Lescaut (Manon Lescaut) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Paolo  ,Albiani at the Berlin Staatsoper, Marcello in Brussels and Figaro (Il  ,barbiere di Siviglia) in Hamburg, Conte di Luna (Trovatore) in Turin, Las  ,Palmas, Salerno and at the Macerata Festival, Scarpia in Tosca at the July  ,Trapanese festival and Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at the Opera di  ,Montacarlo, Rabbi in L'amico Fritz at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Germont  ,in La Traviata at the Palm Beach Opera Festival and at the Verdi theater in  ,Salerno.

Among the musical collaborations we note those with conductors such as  ,Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Chailly, Nello Santi, Fabio Luisi, Myung-whun Chung, Daniele Gatti, Riccardo Frizza, Michele Mariotti and Daniel  ,Harding.

With some of the most important directors such as Franco Zeffirelli,  ,Pier Alli, Nicola Joel, Giancarlo Del Monaco, Damiano Michieletto, Ugo  ,Gregoretti, Sonja Frisell, Grischa Asagaroff, Davide Livermore, Robert  ,Carsen, Emma Dante, Alex Ollè, Emilio Sagi, David McVicar, and Stefano Monti.
