Vincenzo Costanzo 

Appreciated for “the captivating vocal color and the bold high  notes” and for “the great intensity and the tangible emotion”, Vincenzo Costanzo is one of the youngest tenors of the international opera scene.

Born in 1991, he sangs in the children’s choir of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples from the age of six. He debuts as soloist at the age of 11 in a contemporary opera  at the Teatro San Carlo He studied piano and music theory privately, then graduated at the Cuonservatory.

At the same time he continued his studies with Marcello Ferraresi, and improved his singing with Piero Giuliacci.

Winner of the Oscar della Lirica (Tenor New Generation’ award) in Doha (Qatar) in 2014, Vincenzo Costanzo has already had the opportunity to collaborate with internationally renowned directors and directors – despite his young age – as Myung-whun Chung at La Fenice in Venice and in Tokyo, James Conlon at Teatro Real of Madrid, Emma Dante at Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Daniel Oren and Franco Zeffirelli at the Arena in Verona and Liliana Cavani at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcellona He sings in the best theaters around the world.

Among his recent and future engagements: Madama Butterfly in Hamburg and Wiesbaden, La Traviata in Naples and in Beirut, Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle in Vicenza, Simon Boccanegra in Montpellier, La Bohème in Palermo and Berlin, Adriana Lecouvreur in Mainz, Tosca in Minsk and at the Festival Puccini in Torre del Lago.
