He appears widely in Rossini roles like Mustafà in L’Italiana in Algeri (La Scala, Dresden,Zurich, Liège), Selim in Il Turco in Italia (Rome,Genova,Turin), Basilio and Bartolo in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Paris Opéra, Teatro Real Madrid.,Montreal, Colon B Aires ), Magnifico in Cenerentola (Milan Naples), Faraone in Mosè in Egitto (Montecarlo Zurich) and for the Royal Opera House Ginardo in Matilde di Shabran . He’s also a regular guest in Rossini Opera Festival of Pesaro.
His large repertoir includes also Colline in La Bohème, Rodolfo in La Sonnambula (Tokyo), title role in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Dulcamara in Elisir d’amore (Venice, La Fenice, Koln), but also Monteverdi’s Seneca and many Handel’s operas.
Recently he has made his debut in Parma Verdi’s Festival as Falstaff in the title role and as Melitone in La forza del destino . He was also successfully acclaimed as Gianni Schicchi (Turin) Don Basilio (Madrid), as Leporello in Don Giovanni (Savonlinna and Turin), Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro at The Royal Opera House with Sir Antonio Pappano, Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte in Turin ,Köln and London with Sir Colin Davis, Don Profondo in Il viaggio a Reims conducted by Alberto Zedda (Antwerpen,Gent), Gaudenzio in Il Signor Bruschino and Tarabotto in L’inganno felice (Pesaro), Don Magnifico in Cenerentola at Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, At Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Rome, and in Anderman’s movie Cenerentola una favola in diretta directed by Carlo Verdone for Rai1 and broadcasted in more then 40 countries.
