Graduated in History of Music at the University of Bologna, Daniela Pini studied with Maestro Angelo Bertacchi in Modena.
She’s a refined performer of a repertoire that prefers the title of Mozart and Rossini, but also includes French, Baroque and 900’s music.
In recent seasons she has sung among others La Cenerentola (title role) at Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Trieste, Sassari and Frankfurt, Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and Stadttheater in Stuttgart, Tancredi by Rossini (Roggiero) in Trieste, Osaka and Tokyo, La Pietra del paragone (Baronessa Aspasia) at Teatro Regio in Parma and at Teatro Verdi in Sassari (Clarice), Faust by Gounod (Siebel) at Teatro Regio in Parma and Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Il Viaggio a Reims (Melibea) at the Royal Theatre La Monnaie in Bruxelles, Ariodante (Polinesso) in Frankfurt, L’Italiana in Algeri (Isabella) in Bologna, Le Nozze di Figaro (Cherubino) in Viterbo and Tokyo, L’Orlando Furioso (Alcina) in Frankfurt and Edinburgh (Medoro), La Clemenza di Tito (Annio) at Teatro Regio in Turin and Candide by Bernstein at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.
The sacred repertoire includes Stabat Mater by G.B. Pergolesi, the Petite Messe Solennelle and the Stabat Mater by Rossini, Mozart’s Requiem and Missa Solemnis by Beethoven performed with the Chorus of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Handel’s Messiah, the Stabat Mater and Gloria by Vivaldi.
She has worked with conductors such as Roberto Abbado, Temirkanov, Oren, Renzetti, Frizza, Arrivabeni, Casadeus, Scimone, Luisotti, Mariotti, Callegari, Noseda, Carignani and with directors such as Vick, Lavia, Fo, Wertmuller, Pizzi, Gasparon, McVicar, Ronconi, De Ana, Brook and Michieletto.
Among the recent engagements Così fan tutte at Teatro Regio in Turin, Mozart’s Requiem at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, I Puritani in Lyon and in Paris Theatre du Champs Elysees, La Cenerentola (title role) in Seattle, L’Italiana in Algeri (Isabella) at Teatro Regio in Turin, I Capuleti e Montecchi (Romeo) at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, La Cenerentola at Festival des Indias in Cartagena, Frankfurt for Vivaldi’s L’Orlando furioso, Mozart’s Messa dell’Incoronazione in Bari and Giulio Cesare in Toulon.
